when it’s needed??
Lina Joy is a Malaysian woman who converted to Christianity and wanted to marry a Christian man. Before she was a Christian she was a Muslim. As we all know, it is not allowed, according to the Sharia, to leave Islam.

Go over to read it. it’s disgusting: the Malaysian court has voted that a Muslim cannot convert. So this brave woman will be probably condemned to death.
And the Muslim cheered at hearing the verdict:
“The issue of apostasy is related to Islamic law, so it’s under the sharia court. The civil court cannot intervene.”
Disgusting.
Now, where is the international condemnation for this?
the condemnation would be against Islam. We wouldn’t want to insult them now, do we?..
There should be help for her…
She will not be stonned to death, fear not. However she has been disowned by her family and cannot marry her fiance, a Christian because Syariah laws make it compulsory for him to convert to Islam. Once in this mess, her children and her children’s children will all be made to have Islam as their “official religion”…
I am a Malaysian and I STRONGLY DISAGREE with the verdict. But the enshrouding blindness and the blatant disrespect for the right of a human in Malaysia is sickening to say the least.
JR: yes, though I doubt it.
Ms. Song:
Thanks for your comment: it’s always magnificent to have someone from the place where the news have taken place. I understand you perfectly.
By the way, take into account that I said probably, not that she actually was going to be condemned…
Westerners have to fear, that Malaysia will end up like Pakistan one day.
Travel to Malaysia should be discouraged.

Freedom of apostasy is guaranteed by the UN’s Declaration of Human Rights, and yet several countries have laws against apostasy with penalties of imprisonment or death. The issue of crimes against humanity perpetrated against apostasy is rising as waring factions involving religion dominates world news.
It is time for the UN to remember its charter and pressure countries that commit human rights violations against apostates to cease and desist. In an effort to improve awareness about these human rights violations and to solicit support for that cause, the following site provides further details:
