OH – This is terrible. You are so right. They are having to fight an undeclared war so they don’t even get the honor due them.

Lebanon is a terrible place. The fighting there has been vicious – but everyone is ignoring it. I just don’t understand why we can’t call it what it is. WAR. A world war with islam!

Thanks, Mike. What enrages me more, is that MSM here are trying to say everything is marvellous there. There were leftist bloggers even mocking the disembarkment of the Spanish troops there, because at the beach there was a babe in a bikini, and saying “Wow, what a dangerous mission”… Well, the mission is dangerous.
I know people get killed in wars. But here they are killed twice, because then they are denied the killed-in-action medal, and given instead the killed-in-humanitarian-action medal. Just not to mention they have been killed at war…

I am sorry for Spain’s loss LV, but contrary to what the BBC implied, or hoped, this was not caused by unexploded munitions from the last war. The convoy was on a road that has been traveled by other vehicles in the past, which would have detonated any unexploded munitions long ago. Second even the BBC reports the bomb is believed to have been remotely detonated – unexploded munitions do not have remote control detonation devices. Third, the explosion had to be large to destroy an armor vehicle. This had to be a large mine or an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) such as is being used extensively in Iraq, and recently in Afghanistan, and now unfortunately the terrorist appear to be using them in Lebanon.

Again, I am sorry for Spain’s loss.
